THE CREATIVE PROCESS
Creativity is embedded in our very nature from the moment of our birth. It is an integral part of the human experience, an essential trait in the survival and advancement of mankind. Each and every one of us has the ability to access our creative nature at any time and to whatever depths we wish.

The Creative Process is not about art but rather about action in which you create a safe space where you can follow your intuition as you explore your inner world. Be open to feeling vulnerable and out of your comfort zone. Quiet your mind and lead with the heart. As your unique Creative voice emerges you will begin to discover connections between your inner and outer worlds.
Experience Creativity's balance between playfulness and discipline, between energetic outpour and inner reflection.

"Creativity is not a talent. It is a way of being." - John Cleese
Why Engage in the Creative Process?

Are you looking for a way to gain a sense of accomplishment, improve your focus, enhance your social and communication skills or strengthen your cognitive function and memory recall?
Maybe you are looking for a way to promote self awareness through self reflection or to strengthen coping skills that foster relaxation in order to reduce the stress in your life.
Are you needing to process the strong emotions stemming from a difficult life event? Are you searching for new, less limiting perspectives?

With steady practice, the Creative Process enhances mental, physical and emotional health by leading you back to your true inner self. Like with any language, finding your "creative voice" and learning to "speak creativity" takes a willingness spend the time to explore and focus not only on yourself but also on the medium you choose to work in.

So many times I hear from clients, "But I am not a creative person."
I choose to disagree with that as I feel it is more a matter of not being in touch with or using your natural born creative nature. Let go of those thoughts of self judgement as being creative does not mean being artistic. Free yourself from feelings of vulnerability as you step out of your comfort zone.
Being creative means being fully present in a free flowing, organic and intuitive action that focuses on the process and not the outcome. There is no right or wrong way to be creative, there is only your way. Be curious, break some rules, reject the status quo and you will find that old patterns will evolve as you explore alternative ways of thinking and discover new perspectives.
Everyone has the ability to become more creative if you are open to quieting the mind
and leading with the heart.
